BALTIMORE COPS SUE PROSECUTOR…YEA!!

THAT SAME SYSTEM THAT BALTIMORE STATE’S ATTORNEY, MARILYN MOSBY AND BALTIMORE SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAJ. SAM COGEN USED TO TRAMPLE THE PRIVACY AND CIVIL RIGHTS OF THE SIX BALTIMORE OFFICERS CHARGED IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE FREDDIE GRAY INCIDENT, HAS COME BACK TO BITE THEM BOTH.

alicia white and william porterSGT ALEICIA WHITE AND POLICE OFFICER WILLIAM PORTER FILED SUIT ALLEGING THAT STATEMENTS MADE BY MOSBY ALLEGING THAT THE OFFICE
RS ACTED IMPROPERLY AND CRIMINALLY ARE PATENTLY FALSE.  ADDITIONALLY, THAT MOSBY KNEW AT THE TIME THAT THESE ALLEGATION WERE, IN FACT, FALSE REPRESENTATIONS OF THE FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THIS CASE.

THE SUIT ALSO ALLEGES THAT MOSBY USED THE CHARGES TO QUELL THE RIOTS RATHER THAN ANYTHING FACTUAL.  THE BALTIMORE MAYOR SHOULD HAVE USED THE POLICE DEPARTMENT MORE JUDICIOUSLY AND STOPPED THE OUT OF CONTROL MOB BEFORE THE EXTENSIVE PROPERTY DAMAGE TOOK PLACE.  THE MAYOR, YOU MAY RECALL STATED THAT SHE…”WANTED TO GIVE THOSE THAT WANTED TO DESTROY ROOM TO DO THAT…”

THE FIRST OFFICER TRIED, WILLIAM PORTER, RESULTED IN A HUNG JURY WITH 11 JURORS VOTING FOR ACQUITTAL.  THE SECOND OFFICER TRIED WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY.  AS THESE PHONY TRIALS PROCEED AND THESE OFFICER ARE FOUND NOT GUILTY THE THREAT OF MORE LAWSUITS LOOM LARGE OVER MOSBY AND OTHERS.

MOSBY SHOULD DISMISS THE CHARGES AGAINST THESE FINE OFFICERS AND PUT THEM ALL BACK TO WORK IMMEDIATELY.  WILL SHE?  PROBABLY NOT, HER EGO WILL NOT ALLOW.

NEXT WE WILL DISCUSS THE BPD’S RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT THAT PERHAPS THEY HAVE BEEN LAX IN TRAINING OFFICERS…STAY TUNED.
