Here’s one you don’t see everyday. Officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD, assigned to the Entertainment District observed a couch cruising down the sidewalk. No wonder it’s called “the entertainment district.”

The drivers were not charged with any violation, but were given a stern warning about driving your couch on the sidewalk…or roadway

This occurred around 2:00 AM and the operator’s had been over served at one of the areas fine watering holes. The couch was expertly mounted on 2 electric scooters.

CMPD wrote on their face book that the activity should be left to IKEA. Not a bad idea.

Ever wonder about the saying that the really goofy stuff happens after midnight…cops do!
