A highly decorated homicide Detective was convicted of manslaughter last Nov. He shot and killed some chump after the goof pointed a gun at the Detectives partner. Humm.
Seems the decedent was involved in a domestic dispute and left in a “huff.” The police helicopter saw his pick-up driving in an extremely reckless manner and notified the cops looking for the vehicle.
The truck was chasing another car at speeds estimated to be in excess of 90 MPH. When the driver came to his house, followed by the cops, he attempted to back his truck into the garage.
The Detective and his partner approached the car and the fool pointed a gun at the cops. They told him to drop the weapon…did he? Of course not. The Detective cancelled his ticket.
The prosecutor charged the cop with manslaughter…said he shouldn’t have been on the knuckleheads property. HUH?
Upon conviction he was allowed to remain free on bond pending his appeal.
All the local “activists” got enraged, pissed, and all spun up over allowing the cop to remain free. It’s the law folks.
Hopefully, the appeals court will dismiss the case and this 20 year veteran can attempt to get his life back together. What the hell’s goin’ on?
Peace
