BLACK COPS AREN’T REALLY BLACK

I WAS LOOKING AT A COPY OF LAW OFFICER RECENTLY AND SAW AN ARTICLE ABOUT THE CMPD OFFICER WHO SHOT AND KILLED A VIOLENT FELON WITH A GUN WHO WAS ABOUT TO OPEN FIRE ON A GROUP OF POLICE OFFICERS.

A SPOKESPERSON FOR THE CHARLOTTE NAACP HAD THE UNMITIGATED GALL TO SAY THIS OFFICER WASN’T REALLY BLACK.  LET’S TAKE A LOOK.Brent_Vinsonmugfromliberty

CMPD OFFICER BRENTLY VINSON, A 2 YEAR MEMBER OF THE CMPD COMPLETED COLLEGE WHERE HE WAS A FOOTBALL STANDOUT.  HE FOLLOWED IN HIS DAD’S FOOTSTEPS AND BECAME A CMPD OFFICER.  HE IS THE LEADER OF HIS CHURCHES YOUTH BIBLE STUDY AND IS A SUPERB, THOUGHTFUL AND DEDICATED COP.  NOT BAD, AND BEFORE THIS INCIDENT NO ONE QUESTIONED THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN.

THE GOOF WHO GOT SHOT WAS TOLD A NUMBER OF TIMES TO DROP THE WEAPON HE HELD IN HIS RIGHT HAND.  HE WAS A CONVICTED VIOLENT FELON AND HAD A NUMBER OF ORDERS OF PROTECTION FILED AGAINST HIM BY HIS WIFE.  IN ONE OF THE ORDERS SHE SAID HE WAS GOING TO KILL HER AND HER DAUGHTER.  NOW, OF COURSE, THIS JERK IS A CAUSE CELEBRE’ FOR THE EVER OFFENDED SET.

THE NAACP IS SUPPOSED TO RECOGNIZE AND APPLAUD OUTSTANDING BLACK MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.  NOT BERATE THEM.

OFFICER BRENTLY VINSON IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF TODAY’S LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AND THE CMPD IS INDEED FORTUNATE TO HAVE AN OFFICER OF THIS CALIBER AMONG THEIR RANKS.  CARRY ON OFFICER VINSON!!

STAY SAFE, BUCKLE UP AND WEAR YOUR VEST!!
