You may recall “Cops Perspective” post dtd 12/12/23 where the doj wanted Phoenix officials to …”Just sign here. No need to review our limited, sloppy and amateurish report on the Phoenix PD.”

“Let’s see the report first,” was the response from the city.

“You don’t need to see it. It’s a good deal. It will only cost the city hundreds of millions of dollars, crime will go through the roof and you’ll have fewer Officers.” Damn, that sure sound like a good deal.

After months of haggling with the doj the report was finally released on June 13th. One must ask the question, why didn’t the doj release the report earlier. Do they have something to hide? You know like maybe the increase in crime is proportional to the overwhelming influx of illegal and violent immigrants.

The Mayor and Police Chief, along with other city officials are reviewing the report. Looks like the initial intent of the city is to tell the doj to take a hike. Stand tough. You won’t regret it.
