In the still beautiful city of Fresno, CA, the cops have reduced the homicides from 2021 by 66%. How you ask? Good question. Chief Balderrama said “it’s the hard work done by the homicide unit and the department.” Giving full credit to the men and women of the department. In 2021 Fresno had 74 homicides, 52 in 2022 and 26 so far this year. Not bad, not bad at all!
The Chief also said that by arresting/charging soon after the murder this stops the retaliation by family members or associates.
The department added over 200 officers to their ranks which helps with “Hot Spot” policing and proper deployment of officers.
Oh yeah, the downtown car thefts and break-ins are way down. More police presence and pro active policing. Wonder what would happen in other cities with more cops, strong leadership and political backing. HUmmmm?
Peace
