The doj, (un)civil rights division just released a copy of the three year report on their snooping into the activities of the PPD. As is always the case the doj found a “pattern and practice of civil rights violation and racism.”

PPD Officers and citizens pushed city management to NOT fall into the “consent decree” pit that would cost the city multi-millions, lose cops and jack the violent crime rate to astronomical levels.

Apparently the pressure worked. The city put out a new website (dojrecords.phoenix.gov) that debunks the 36 incidents the doj claims to meet their low standards. Upon reviewing the incident’s on the website looks like the doj didn’t tell the full story. Jeeze, how could that happen? Maybe it’s time for a change at the doj. Do check out the website…it’s an eyeopener!

Peace
