It took 8 that’s right 8 years for a Baltimore County SWAT member to finally be given qualified immunity after a SWAT Officer shot and killed someone who pointed a shotgun at the cops.

In 2016 Baltimore County SWAT answered a call for a barricaded subject in an apartment. After 6 hours the standoff was at a standstill. The occupant of the apartment, a female, pointed a shotgun at a SWAT officer who immediately neutralized the threat.

The female occupant of the apartment was holding her son in the barricade. After the shotgun waving fool was killed someone filed a civil suit against the Officer alleging the dead persons son was denied due process. HUH?

All this yang finally made it to the MD Supremes. After careful consideration and chin ribbing the Supremes unanimously decided that the Officer was protected under the qualified immunity rules and not liable under civil processes. That’s 8 years of worry and unknowing that’s taken off the officers shoulders.

Hey you cop haters, wanna get rid of or “reimagine” police…knock off the qualified immunity and we’ll return to those days of yesteryear and lawlessness.
