Coral Springs Cops Move Past Deputy’s To Clear Active Shooter Scene.

An “Active Shooter” call goes out over the radio.  It’s at the M S Douglas High School in Parkland, FL.  Officers on other calls or writing reports stop what they are doing and proceed, code 3, to the school.

Of particular note are several members of the Coral Springs Police Department who arrive on the scene.  They observe a Broward County Deputy taking up a defensive position in the event the shooter comes out the door he’s covering.Coral Springs patch

The Coral Springs cops make a quick determination that the suspect/shooter is or was on the 3rd floor.  How you ask?  By the bullet holes in the third floor windows.  Quickly assessing the situation and entering the building to search for and “neutralize” the shooter and assist those in need.  One officer writes in his report that…”the hallway was quiet and had thick smoke from recent gunfire…”

Great call and quick action by the CSPD.

May all involved find peace.
