If you can think of and remember all the stupid and restrictive new laws and regulations just forgetabouitit!! This airhead is trying to change the Texas “Castle Doctrine” law by outlawing the homeowner from shooting, maiming or beating the uninvited wipe into oblivion.
Rep. terry meza (d-don’t shoot that poor kid, lets spread the wealth around. Maybe he need money for school, or to feed a drug habit or, or…or what.) Attention all you home invaders and burglars: If it doesn’t belong to you don’t take it. If it’s not your “crib” don’t try to enter without an invite. If you chose to do so you may very well find yourself in a dirt nap.
Rep meza wants to amend the law saying the homeowner must flee at the first sign of a home invasion. If confronted by a badguy the home owner must de-escalate. If the criminal is injured it’s the homeowners fault. Fat chance of this ever passing in the Lone Star State.
Gotta wonder about her district, between Dallas and Ft. Worth. Bet the combined IQ reaches somewhere around room temperature.

This is an asinine idea by Rep. Terry Meza. Anyone within their home should have the right and the backing of the law from protecting their home. The criminals will only get more bold if this crack pot idea were to come to fruition. By the way, this Rep. would be the first one to call for police 2 seconds after she was spouting out to defund the police. Careful how you vote people.
Gerald: True enough. In Texas, the state that issues kids a .22 when they’re 11 or 12, this thing has NO chance of getting passed. How in the hell do people elect idiots like this to represent them. Gotta scratch my head on that one. Maybe she’ll get voted out in the next election. Hope so
