NY Officer Acquitted In Excessive Force Case

A NY judge acquitted a Rockville Centre, NY officer on charges that allege he used excessive force on two intoxicated brothers.  The “real” suspects were fighting outside a bar after they had been “launched” for fighting.

Officer Anthony Frederico arrived on the scene and saw the two mopes fighting.  He intervened and attempted to calm the situation employing “De- Escalation” techniques.  After being struck several times by one of the combatants officer Frederico used his TASER to control the situation.rockville PD

At trial the Judge, after hearing all evidence presented, quickly found the officer NOT GUILTY and questioned why the prosecutors office would even entertain such a foolish case.  Good call judge.

The lawyer representing the officer said, “The Nassau District attorney ignored evidence of the officers innocence and created tremendous distrust between police and prosecutors.”

Couldn’t agree more.

Officer Frederico was reinstated as a police officer and is back on duty.

This is just plain crazy!!
